What About IRS Enforcement?
Don’t we need to be concerned about the over 80,000 IRS agents that were hired busting down our door? Whether or not we are right about taxation is theft… what about the backlash?
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. They were all hired as special agents, who are tasked with crimes like tax fraud and money laundering. They are not accountants. They will not be conducting audits. They are essentially police, who do not do prosecutions on their own, but who collect information and, with a court order, seize property. They still have to go through the courts and there are too few federal judges to get warrants to arrest and charge 87.000 people. I don’t know exactly what they will be doing, but it is likely a scare tactic, which is the the IRS’ primary modus operandi, especially since their wings have been clipped so much over the past 60 years.
